I'll say right away - I have mixed feelings about this thing.
On the one hand, I've invested many hours of work to bring the busy board to a clean and fully functional condition, and that makes me very happy.
At the same time, I'm disappointed that I couldn't make it look perfectly "new." The worn paper elements, the bell, the absence of two non-critical screws, and the uneven yellow shade of the plastic - rrrrr🤨🤨
Now, to the point :)
This guy recently turned 50, and by its condition, you can see that it has been actively used and, most likely, had more than one owner. It was made in Belgium by order of Fisher-Price (I like not only their toys but also the founders' principle - "Toys should embody real originality, sturdy construction, play, and consumer value, functions and price").
What's in this busy board (original name - Activity Center #134):
The first thing that caught my eye is the ornament and motifs of classic English fairy tales and rhymes, such as "Jack and the Beanstalk," "Humpty Dumpty," "The Tortoise and the Hare," and much more.
On the left side, there's a micro-pneumatic red button - you press it, and it "shoots" a yellow piece through a transparent tube that hits a bell.
Next, there are two rotating drums: a yellow-red ball and a green-white cylinder.
Above, there's a rattle with pictures from fairy tales and rhymes.
To the right, there's a dynamic swinging part with something inside that produces a pleasant rustling sound.
Below that, there's a blue disc phone dial (let's just consider it a spinner with numbers - we won't overwhelm children's minds with such details). This part is the most affected by time and little fingers.
To the right, there's another spinner, rattle, and a squeaker.
And at the bottom, a "chase" game with a sound effect between the Rabbit and the Tortoise.
Overall, it's a very interesting item, suitable for both toddlers and older children - tested on various busy boards and several kids aged 2-8 years :)
